LOGIN & REGISTRATION
Q: What is the official Collingwood Tipping Competition?
A: It is a Competition where you choose which teams you think are going to win their respective games for each Round. For each correct tip you receive a point that will go towards your overall Score. Compare your overall Score with your friends or against the entire Competition.
Q: Can I have multiple registrations?
No, you may only register once and enter each of the prize competition games ONCE. You will face possible disqualification as indicated in the official Terms & Conditions and Official Rules if you are found to be registered more than once or controlling more than one Team in any one prize competition game at any stage of the Competition.
Q: Can I still enter if I don’t reside in Australia?
A: If you are not a resident of Australia you are welcome to participate in the games, however, as outlined in the Terms & Conditions, you must be an Australian resident to be eligible to win any prizes.

FORGOT TO TIP
Q: What happens if I forget to tip?
A: If you forget to enter a tip for a particular match you will automatically be allocated the Away Teams by default (“Auto Tip”) for your tips with up to a maximum of 5 correct tips awarded.
Please note an Auto Tip will not count as a correct tip if either of the following apply;
- The user has 5 correct tips for that round from tips entered
- The user has 5 correct tips from that Round from Other Auto Tips or;
- A combination of correct tips from tips entered and Auto tips
This means where any of the correct tips are from Auto Tips, the maximum number of correct tips in the Round is 5 correct tips.
If you do not register a tip for the margin game, you will be allocated an average margin based on the selections made for that margin game.
If you join the Competition late (after the commencement of the season) you will be awarded one correct tip for all of the winning away teams for the year up until the point of your registration. However, please note this will be limited to a maximum of 5 correct tips per Round up until the point of registration. You will be allocated an average margin based on the selections made for that margin game.
Q: When do I have to submit my tips by?
You can submit your tips up until the start of each match. Once a match begins, tips for that match will be locked, and no further submissions or edits will be possible.
STREAK
Q: What is Streak?
A: Streak is a tipping style competition where the aim is to accumulate the longest consecutive streak of correct match predictions throughout the AFL season. Each correct tip extends your streak, while an incorrect tip ends it. Skipped tips do not affect your current streak. The participant with the longest streak at the end of the regular season (Round 24) will be declared the winner.
Q: When does Streak start?
A: Streak starts in the Opening Round, but you can join at anytime!
Q: How do I start a streak?
A: You start a tipping streak by correctly tipping two or more matches in a row. Once you achieve two consecutive correct tips, your streak begins and continues to grow with each additional consecutive correct tip.
Q: What happens if I forget to tip?
A: If you forget to submit a tip, your current streak remains unchanged. Skipped tips do not affect your streak.
Q: When does my streak reset?
A: Your current streak resets if you tip incorrectly. However, if the streak you broke is your longest so far, it will still be saved as your longest streak.
Q: Are draws counted as correct tips?
A: Yes. If a match is drawn, cancelled, abandoned, or not completed and no official result is declared within one (1) day, it is treated as a win for both teams.
Q: What happens if multiple users finish with the same longest streak?
A: If two or more users are tied for the longest streak, the tie-breaker is the number of skipped games. The user with the fewest skipped games will be declared the winner.
Q: Can I change my Streak tip?
A: You can reset your tip before the match locks out by clicking the reset button in the middle of the match card. Once the match is locked out, you can’t change your tip.
GAUNTLET
Q: What is Gauntlet?
A: Gauntlet is an elimination-style tipping competition. Starting in Round 7, you select one AFL team you think will win each round. If your selected team wins, you survive to the next round. If they lose, you’re eliminated from the Gauntlet.
- You can only select each team once for the entire competition, so strategic planning across the season is essential!
- Gauntlet continues until one or more participants remain undefeated.
Q: How is the Gauntlet different from regular tipping?
- In regular tipping, you tip every game each round.
- In Gauntlet you only choose one team per round.
- You cannot select the same team twice for the entire competition.
- One incorrect tip eliminates you.
Q: When does Gauntlet start?
A: Gauntlet officially begins in Round 7, however tips can be made in advance.
Q: How do I make my selection each round?
A: Go to the Gauntlet page and use the round navigator to navigate between rounds and select the round you’d like to place your tip for.
A rolling lockout applies, meaning each match locks individually at its scheduled start time.
- You must select your team before their match begins.
- Once a match has started, that team will no longer be available for selection.
- Your tip cannot be changed after lockout.
Q: What happens if my selected team loses?
A: If your selected team loses, you are eliminated from Gauntlet and can no longer make selections in future rounds.
